stroke and scribble do not work on shape layers but these are nice effects to use in changing the shape of the paths
trim paths will work as the effect for animating lines

After Effects Fundamentals - Ctrl+Clicking arrow next to layer to open up all properties

a very small but important fundamental is the option the user has in ctrl+clicking the small arrow to the left side of the arrow which allows you to view all properties by selecting more than layer and then, ctrl+clicking arrow, you get to view all properties from all selected layers, and therefore can edit the properties of each selected layer at the same time this allows for a smoother workflow in adjusting properties quicker and speeding up the animation workflow

When creating complex scenes it is important objects to receieve masks that will allow them to move behind or outside of them in order to create interesting dynsamic animations; unfortunately, after effects by default, is transforming your mask you apply to the layer you want to have one while the layer is transforming also the solution for this is to: Create a solid layer* Under "TrckMat", you can select "Alpha inverted Matte " _______" "________" is the layer that needs the mask * this layer with 'alpha inverted matte' needs to be located below layer with mask
